Expanded Procedures
- Landing
- Flaps Approach flaps can be set up to 200 kts IAS
- Landing Gear extended up to 181 kts
- Power to 600 ft lbs +/-
- Normally full flaps (153kts) at 500 AGL with lndg assured
- 130 kts on down wind and
reduce to 121 kts for base and final.
- Reduce power close in to the threshold
- Do not push the props up until: a go-around was required
or until wheels on
- flaps up, props up and into reverse and out of reverse at
40 kts.
- Beta is used while taxing to keep your speed down but try
not to use it on contaminated surfaces.
- Props up (do not exceed 2000 rpm) and full power not to
exceed 2K ft-lbs torque and monitor ITTs (max 750).
- Rotate at 95 kts and pos rate gear up
- Lights out, YD engaged, auto feather off and prop sync on
- Set
power to about 1800 ft-lbs and props back to 1900 rpm and adjust pitch
to get the V/S you want (usually 1,500 ft/min will give you about 160
kts indicated).
- Generally, the A/P can be egaged at 200 ft AGL and used
before climb power is set.
- Note:
as you reduce the prop settings, the torque wants to increase, so 1800
ft-lbs is a good setting for the intitial prop reduction and adjust
from there.
