My first airplane, a Piper Warrior II <a href=\"http:\/\/www.airdorrin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/image8.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1174\" src=\"http:\/\/www.airdorrin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/image8-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>was stripped and repainted at the same facility in 2004, so I&#8217;m excited to see the transformation.<\/p>\n<p>The Warrior II took awhile to get accomplished, but the end result was absolutely wonderful. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.airdorrin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/image9.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1175\" src=\"http:\/\/www.airdorrin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/image9-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>What an amazing machine that was. One that I expected it to be the last airplane I&#8217;d ever need. Little did I know I&#8217;d be owning\u00a0a twin, and flying a turboprop full time just 15 years later.<\/p>\n<p>By tomorrow night, I hope to have taken quality pictures of the stripped airplane just prior to the skin repairs being made to correct hail damage. the control surfaces have already been re-skinned, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.airdorrin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/image10.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1176 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/www.airdorrin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/image10-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>so this will give me a chance to document the state of the airplane and the the quality of the\u00a0finishing work.<\/p>\n<p>Life is good. \u00a0Fly safe.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.airdorrin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/image11.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1177\" src=\"http:\/\/www.airdorrin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/image11-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bev and I are driving up to Smoketown airport to see my Twin Comanche in the middle of being refinished and painted.
