Reading a wide array of material to prepare as well, including my ATP training guides.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.airdorrin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/KingairCoPilot.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-917 alignleft\" alt=\"SimulatorPix\" src=\"http:\/\/www.airdorrin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/KingairCoPilot-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tonight I flew my own simulator on the KDEC GPS36 and then the KDEC LOC BC 24. \u00a0Both approaches went well, and were repeated at least three times. I&#8217;m making mistakes but learning from them. Planning to fly all of the approaches identified in lesson 01 &#8211; which represent my first day of training at the <a title=\"February Training Coming up!!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rtcpilot.com\">RTC Training Center<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0in Champagne, IL.<\/p>\n<p>I have owned my Elite simulator for maybe 10 years at this point, and tonight I learned a new method for increasing it&#8217;s stability that will save considerable time. \u00a0Previously I&#8217;d have to stop \/ start the simulator during perceived lock-ups, but tonight I found out what how to stabilize that process with the Elite system, and keep simulating. \u00a0Never stop learning.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll snap some shots and get more information out here to chronicle the experience later this week. \u00a0For now &#8211; it is allot of reading when I can and simulation at night.<\/p>\n<p>Fly safe&#8230;..<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Having a wonderful time getting to study turbine engines and the King Air BE200 in preparation for earning a new rating. \u00a0I&#8217;m taking advantage of my new simulator room downstairs, which is about 85% complete but fully useful.
